Anastasia Belina is an artist manager based in Sweden.

Her varied career in music, performance, and education included piano performance, research, higher eduction teaching and management, opera directing, and working with young musicians and artists on a range of creative and educational projects.

She studied classical piano at the Shebalin Conservatoire in Omsk, Russia, musicology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and completed her PhD in the field of Russian music and opera at the University of Leeds, UK.

As a music writer and researcher and a published author, Anastasia was always interested in neglected composers, and dedicated many years of her career to introducing their names to a wider audience. She was instrumental in bringing the music of the British Polish composer and pianist André Tchaikowsky to international stages, which culminated in the world premiere of his opera The Merchant of Venice in Bregenz in 2013. The opera was awarded The Best World Premiere prize at the International Opera Awards in 2014, and was subsequently performed at the National Opera in Warsaw, Welsh National Opera and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

Anastasia is a passionate advocate of female composers, and is currently working with the BBC and AHRC on the Forgotten Female Composers Project. She discovered the forgotten symphony Roland Furieux by Augusta Holmès (1847-1903) and edited it for Schott. Its world premiere in Cardiff in March 2018 was given by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales led by Valentina Peleggi. Most recently, Anastasia contributed to introducing the life and work of Holmès on Composer of the Week, BBC Radio 3.

She is Artistic Director of Festiwal Koncerty Urodzinowe Chopina in Warsaw and the Karlskrona International Piano Festival, Sweden.

As artist manager, she works with a small number of artists she admires. She believes in taking a long view on an artist's career, valuing artistic integrity, experience, expertise, and understanding that it takes time and space for an artist to develop and establish in the competitive global environment.
